Dance Marathon Total Tuesday: Feb. 22-24, 2019

Over the weekend of February 22-24, 35 collegiate and independent high school Dance Marathon programs hosted their annual events, resulting in a total of $4,290,261.70 raised #ForTheKids at local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals!

In addition, 17 high school mini-marathon programs, whose fundraising is channeled through a supporting collegiate Dance Marathon organization, hosted their events over the weekend. Scroll to the bottom of this blog post to see their totals.

Belmont Abbey College:

Crusader Dance Marathon at Belmont Abbey College raised $3,426.00 at their annual event benefitting Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Boise State University:

Boise State Dance Marathon benefits St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho.

Bowdoin College:

Bowdoin College Dance Marathon  benefits The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine.

Braden River High School:

Braden River High School’s Key Club hosted their Dance Marathon and raised $5,514.00 for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

California Polytechnic State University:

Cal Poly Dance Marathon benefits Cottage Children’s Medical Center in Santa Barbara, California.

Chicago Dance Marathon:

Chicago Dance Marathon is a city-wide Dance Marathon program that involves participants from corporate partners, local schools, and community organization that benefits the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Davidson College:

Davidson College Dance Marathon benefits Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Duke University:

Duke DevilThon raised $8,664.30 at their 2019 event, benefitting Duke Children’s Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Raiderthon at Middle Tennessee State University benefits Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Minnesota State University, Mankato:

MSU, Mankato Dance Marathon held their 8th annual MAVATHON event benefitting Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minnesota.

San Diego State University:

Dance Marathon at San Diego State University benefits Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California. Their fundraising total from their fifth annual Dance Marathon event represents a 32% increase over their 2018 total and makes them the largest fundraising Miracle Network Dance Marathon program in the West Area.

Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville:

SIUE Dance Marathon benefits St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

SIUEDM Raises Over $40,000 for CMN Hospitals

Stetson Hatterthon benefits Arnold Palmer Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. In their third year, Hatterthon doubled their fundraising total from 2018!

Strawberry Crest High School:

Chargerthon at Strawberry Crest High School in Dover, Florida benefits Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

University at Albany:

UAlbany Dance Marathon benefits Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.

University of Alabama:

UADM at the University of Alabama benefits Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama.

University of Connecticut:

HuskyTHON at the University of Connecticut benefits Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. In their 20th year, HuskyTHON increased their fundraising total by 30% and more than $300,000 over their 2018 total.

University of Georgia:

UGA Miracle benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia. Their 2019 total marks the fourth consecutive year that their program has raised over $1 million annually.

University of Indianapolis:

UIndy Dance Marathon benefits Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana.

University of Kansas:

Kansas Miracle raised $26,000 for KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

University of Missouri-Kansas City:

Kansas City Dance Marathon raised $5,266.00 for KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

University of North Carolina, Wilmington:

DubThon at UNC-Wilmington benefits Duke Children’s Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Dance Marathon at Virginia Tech benefits Carilion Children’s in Roanoke, Virginia.

Wabash College:

Wabash College Dance Marathon raised $3,747.49 at their annual event benefitting Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mini-Marathon Fundraising Totals:

Indiana University Dance Marathon Mini-Marathons:

Over the past weekend, three high school mini-marathon programs supported by Indiana University Dance Marathon hosted their annual Dance Marathon events. Carmel High School Dance Marathon, the highest fundraising high school MNDM program in the nation, raised $436,481.14. Floyd Central High School Dance Marathon raised $63,227.94 and Castle High School Dance Marathon raised $61,045.28. All three programs’ fundraising totals are added into IUDM’s overall total, which will be announced at their November 2019 event, and benefit Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Gainesville Market High School Dance Marathons:

Nine different high schools in the Gainesville, Florida market hosted their annual Dance Marathon events over the past weekend, all benefitting UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.

The following high schools host mini-marathons supported by Dance Marathon at the University of Florida:

  • Boca Raton Community High School: $46,076.46 (31% increase over 2018)
  • Jupiter Community High School: $32,800.85 (17% increase over 2018)
  • Palm Beach Central High School: $91,141.57 (43% increase over 2018)
  • Palm Beach Gardens Community High School: 7,007.19 (29% increase over 2018)
  • Seminole Ridge Community High School: $52,060.44 (23% increase over 2018)

University of South Carolina Mini-Marathons:

USC Dance Marathon had two of their mini-marathons host their annual Dance Marathon events this past weekend: Dutch Fork High School raised $2,525.00 and Ben Lippen High School Dance Marathon raised $10,262 benefitting Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital in Columbia South Carolina.

Knight-Thon at UCF Mini-Marathons:

Knight-Thon at the University of Central Florida had three of their mini-marathon programs host Dance Marathon events this past weekend: The First Academy, Viera High School, and Edgewood Jr/Sr High School–raising a collective $42,000 for Arnold Palmer Medical Center in Orlando, Florida.

Hope College Mini-Marathon:

Zeeland East High School Dance Marathon, a mini-marathon supported by Hope College Dance Marathon, raised $17,204.94 for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
